Making things better for my countrymen

Advertising Made Easy
In our keenness to reach out to the public, especially in these days of distress, we have created a new platform for advertisers to get maximum visibility at tariffs that are almost ridiculous. In the globalized world, you don’t look at interest to be generated from only your neighborhood, but from the international community. Be it real estate, artifacts, heirlooms, what have you. We want to get the best of both worlds for both individuals and institutions. Content is truly king and the princely city of Mysore gives tremendous scope for our content to be rich. Content creates interest across borders and interest leads to viewership and that obviously has the potential to generate interest in business houses. We make no false claims about viewership, it’s there for everybody to see in the form of the hits counter.
For the first ever time, we are offering a service to our patrons to issue flawless copies, even if they are individuals. This comes from our concern for excellence. We care for our advertisers. We don’t expect individual advertisers to be proficient in language. We correct every copy we receive from them. This is something not even major media houses have cared to bother.
Consumer Affairs
I am available for consultation on consumer affairs. This is something I am offering to only the citizens of Mysore. Having been an aggrieved consumer myself, I have experienced deficiency in service across sectors. One way to set the system right is to fight for one’s rights. The objective of this on-going battle is to demand quality and one’s money’s worth. An awakened consumer can do a lot of societal good, besides serving oneself. I want to help those who are quality-conscious. Together, we can make it better for our community. I prefer to consult either online or over the phone. Drop a mail to journocate@gmail.com, indicating your contact number. Any concerned citizen who wants to be on a panel of consumer counsellors I am putting together, can also contact me.

Post-Covid Architecture
The pandemic has so acutely exposed man’s limitations in every which way it can. Be it in the United States or in India, the architecture proved inadequate to meet the new requirements imposed on the inhabitants of both office and residence. Architect Veena, based out of Bangalore, and I have discussed and evolved a new concept of designing post-Covid architecture. Designing has always been a passion for me. Veena, the seasoned architect, likes my ideas. I admire her experience. By the way, one of the many highpoints of her career include the farmhouse she designed for Rajinikanth.
Apparel Advisory
I have been my own fashion designer from my childhood. I have been an apparel advisor to many, both within my family and outside. When I choose an apparel or a material for somebody, I do it with the same passion as when I do it for myself. I am delighted when I see people who are elegantly or impressively attired. I stop to go and compliment them even if they are strangers. It’s just my idea of acknowledging beauty or handsomeness and thanking them for making me delighted. The happiness they give is durable. But, I also see that many lack a sense of colour. They don’t have a sartorial sense. I am not grumbling about these deficiencies. Well, we all fall short of somebody’s expectations in some area or the other.
I have come out with some creative designs for both men and women. If I had the luxury of time, I would have started a boutique. (In fact, I even did elaborate preparations to start one!) It’s also because I know what misery a tailor can reduce you to with their imperfections. So you see my apparel obsession. I now propose to go commercial. For paucity of time, I will accept only limited offers. I don’t mind accepting any assignment for costume designing. I remember the Hindi film Sparsh for the overall visual appeal it created when I watched it three decades ago. I believe that is what a blend of colours can do. But, then, apparels are not just about colours. There is much more to the art of dressing up. That is precisely where I want to contribute.
